Q. Why a payroll deduction plan for vacations?
A. By offering a payroll deduction program for vacation funding, your employer makes the statement that they value how you utilize your paid time off. Our program allows you to save a set amount of your paycheck aside to help you create a memorable vacation experience in a painless and seamless fashion. Our clients and their families truly appreciate that they have set aside funds for a well deserved holiday.

Q. How do I get started?
A. Ask for the Application for Payroll Deduction from one of the Genesis travel planners or from your Human Resources Department, download it from the web site or enroll online (coming soon). Decide how much you want deducted from your paycheck each pay period. Fill out the application and fax it back to (800) 881-0303 or email enroll@genesistravelbenefits.com. That's it. Your deductions will start immediately.

Q. What if I can't decide when to travel or even where I want to go?
A. You don't have to decide where or when you want to go right away. You can simply start deducting a regular amount that is affordable for you. You can take your time in choosing your destination and when you want to go. Genesis Travel Planners will help you select every detail of your vacation. Once you have made your decision if your trip costs more than you have saved in your account you can make a one time payment using a credit/debit card or check or just increase the amount of deductions if you have time before your departure date. If the vacation you have selected is less than you have in your account you can apply the balance to future travel or Genesis will refund you the difference.

Q. Do I have to enroll in the payroll deduction program to have Genesis Travel Benefits plan a trip for me?
A. No you don't have to participate in the payroll deduction plan. For most people it is a great option, but for those who want to travel in the near future, take advantage of last minute travel or just prefer to pay in a more traditional manner using a credit/debit card or check you may, and none of the advance booking requirements will apply.

Q. What if I change my employment, or want to cancel completely?
A. The program is fully portable, so you can keep the benefit regardless of continued employment. You can cancel the program at any time and receive a refund less any applicable cancellation fees. Please see Terms and Conditions for full details.

Q. Is there an expiration date? Will I lose my money if I need to postpone my vacation?
A. There is no expiration date, your funds will remain in an escrow account until you use them against a new vacation selection or elect to be reimbursed less any applicable cancellation fees. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance.

Q. What if I want to travel with friends or family who work at a different company, do I have to pay for their vacation?
A. No you don't! We will book your family or friends on the same vacation and allow them to pay for it over the same period of time, interest free, Genesis will bill them directly every month or they may pay using a credit/debit card or check.

After You Book

Q. What if I want to take a longer or shorter vacation?
A. Based upon availability, Genesis will accommodate any change request. If the change occurs within 70 days from the previously selected travel departure date a $35.00 per person change fee will apply. The difference in cost, if greater, can be spread over the balance of the deductions or made by a one-time payment. If the new selection is a lesser cost than the original, the remaining deductions will be adjusted accordingly or the employee will be refunded directly.

Q. Can I make changes to existing reservations?
A. Based upon availability, Genesis can make a change and spread any additional cost, if up-grading, over the balance of your deductions, or we will accept a one-time payment from a credit/debit card or checking account. If a lesser cabin or room is selected a $25.00 per person fee will apply and the remaining deductions will be reduced to reflect a lesser cost, or the difference can be refunded directly to the employee by check, dependent upon the remaining amount of deductions.

Q. Can I buy travel insurance?
A. Genesis Travel Benefits highly recommends purchasing travel insurance. Travel insurance is available through our travel planners at the time of booking in various degrees of coverage. Premiums must be paid in full at the time of purchase.

Q. I saw a vacation special listed in the newspaper. Can I purchase it?
A. Our vacation specialists provide personalized service throughout the process of planning your vacations. You will find that our prices are comparable or less expensive than our competitors our vacation specialists will personalize your trip at the current prices, they will gladly check with a travel supplier for any last minute adjustments however, your personalized vacation has been planned for your unique preferences. In order to price match any type of advertised special, vacation components must match exactly to the price comparison including all service fees and limits and restrictions to the package. Many publically advertised specials are limited and restricted. These deals will require either full payment at the time of booking or a large deposit and require you to travel within a short period of time. Making changes to existing reservations based on the advertised criteria will often incur penalties and restrictions. For new reservations Genesis Vacation Specialists are highly trained in the competitive market and will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Q. How do I know what to do once I book my vacation?
A. You will receive travel documents after the final payment has been made by Genesis on your behalf these documents will contain complete instructions and all the information you need to get to your destination stress free. And of course, our travel planners are available to answer any questions you may have.

Q. Is transportation to the ship or resort included in my vacation price?
A. Unless you purchased airfare as part of a complete package, it is not included as part of your payroll deduction benefit. You can fly or drive depending on where you live and which vacation you choose. This is your responsibility to arrange and is not included in the price. However, our Vacation Specialists will be very pleased to assist you in making these arrangements and have access to discounted flights for our program.
